We welcome the brand new year of 2017
With the Christmas holidays behind us, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and take on the year ahead with energy.
Over these past days we’ve witnessed the most exaggerated celebration of ostentation and gluttony. As a graphic designer, I’ve had no shortage of chances to marvel at society’s «good taste».
Christmas decorations, Christmas cards, toy catalogues, tree trimmings, nativity scenes: a spectacle worthy of a bizarre cabaret.
I let a few days pass after the last blowout on Twelfth Night before picking up my blogging duties again, because it’s never good to talk with your mouth full.
A spectacle worthy of a bizarre cabaret
Back from the madness, the reunion at the studio was like a game of dominoes in a village bar between the oldest pensioners: a pile of Christmas anecdotes, a cross between Modern Family and American Horror Story. We didn’t get into the office parties, because ours is strictly secret and I’m not allowed to talk about it, much like fight club.
From the very beginning we’ve had the nice habit of starting the year with a breakfast meeting where we take stock of the previous year and set our goals for the one ahead.
Looking back properly, we’re particularly pleased with the work for SADABEER: a multidisciplinary project where we handled the graphic design for the launch of a product catalogue, following the corporate design and label design they’d previously commissioned from us.
We also took the opportunity to fold in the online launch with a web design for a section dedicated to that product.
It was a great chance to work purely as a team and, beyond the obvious result, it helped us take the measure of how well the studio functions together.
We’d also like to underline the work we’ve done in graphic and corporate design, particularly the logos for «Delta Coworking» and «Carmelo», both with excellent conceptual work and attention to the smallest detail.
These projects are only the chosen few from a whole year of work, and they’re now part of our company’s history. The final expression of our passion for graphic design, web programming and image.
Passion for what we do
Among other things, we’re eager to work hard and we’re focusing our efforts on continuing to improve.
So with no further explanation or excuse than these lines, we wish you a 2017 full of opportunities, and the courage and vision to face them and make the most of them.
Don’t hesitate for a moment: the worst decisions are the ones never taken, as someone once said.
If we face challenges head on, the worst that can happen is that we learn from our mistakes, and those will make us stronger.
At our studio we already have a few projects in mind and on the table. And we’re always happy to answer your questions and take on that project you’ll need design and development professionals for.
