A date for graphic design and digital design at ArtFutura, Barcelona
ArtFutura is a festival that has been coming to Barcelona since 1990 with the aim of bringing the cutting edge of creative culture and digital creativity to all of us. This year ArtFutura brings us the exhibition that ran in Rome for four months. The festival now opens from 20 October in more than 20 different cities. This year’s programme includes some very interesting strands:
- 3D animation
- Music videos
- Motion graphics
Digital Creatures
This is the special that headlines the festival, the digital compendium recently presented in Rome. It includes work by Ca Buyükberber, Sachiko Kodama, Paul Friedlander, Esteban Diácono, Chico Mac Murtrie / Amorphic Robot Works and Universal Everything.
3D ArtFutura Show
Every year the 3D Futura Show brings us a selection of the most outstanding international work in digital animation, a showcase of this creative field. We’ll be able to see work from major studios, specialist schools and freelance artists. All of it cutting edge, and out to surprise us with its originality and technique.
Futura Graphics
In this strand of ArtFutura we’ll be able to see the most brilliant work in the field of new technologies and aesthetics. Digital animation. Experimental shorts. Music videos. Mixed works.
ArtWorks
Digital art. New media. Virtual reality. Dance. Performance. This strand brings us the latest in new forms of digital expression and in ways of documenting the digital works of our time. School Futura
As you can imagine, in this strand ArtFutura devotes its space to showing us a selection of the best work from schools all over the world.
