First of all I want to mention the website Big Mamma have online, a visual spectacle in full flight, handling the site’s web design with large full screen background images and full screen video.
This piece of graphic design is made to convey, through design, sensations that feel close and personal.
The homepage intro is also a fine piece of graphic design woven into the website, contrasting sharply with the more organic content inside the site, and not only because of its purpose, which is to tell us about their business.
The designer of this gem is Jonathan Da Costa and the web developer is Jean-Christophe Suzanne.

Now here’s another clear recommendation, a perfect fusion of graphic design and web design and development.
Shantell Martin’s website is a visual spectacle: the homepage animated with the cursor, the choice of images mixed with illustration and typography certainly played a major part in the decisions behind this site’s design.
The dot navigation between sections works perfectly, and the menu design in condensed type is another excellent choice that reinforces the whole visual side of this website.
The result is a perfect pairing of web development and web design.

Finally, an honourable mention to the initiative Mic took on and carried out through their website, which they devoted to documenting a list of transgender people who are being murdered as though it were an epidemic. The aim is to leave a record of their lives so that nobody forgets them.
The website’s design and the way it works are very friendly, so much so that it borders on the plain; that, along with the handling of the graphic side, which is also very raw, makes the experience of moving through these lives an intense one.
I think the approach to the web design and the way the information has been structured were the right calls.
